Indian Medical Visa for Chad Citizens
A Chadian patient needs the regular medical visa from the Embassy of India in N'Djamena, because the e-Medical visa is not available to Chadian citizens. The hospital's invitation letters, which Jivo obtains, support the application.

What does the visa cost?
The Government of India sets the fee. It is paid at the Embassy of India in N'Djamena with the application.
Which documents does the N'Djamena mission ask for?
The Consular Officer checks the original documents at the interview. The Embassy asks for:
- The original passport, valid for at least six months or the validity requested if longer, with at least two blank pages, and a photocopy of the data page.
- Two photographs, 50 mm by 50 mm, on a light background.
- A typed referral letter on letterhead from a reputed hospital or medical institute, stating the illness and the reason for referral and sent to the Embassy from the hospital's verifiable email address.
- A typed invitation letter on letterhead from the hospital in India, specifying the treatment with start and end dates and giving the attendant's details with a hospital contact number. The hospital emails it to the Embassy.
- A certified bank statement for the last three months or a bank guarantee letter, with an affidavit and ID or passport copy from the sponsor if someone else pays.
- Copies of earlier treatment in Chad, including CT scan, MRI or X-ray reports.
- For follow-up treatment, the previous medical papers and the Indian hospital's discharge summary.
- For a transplant, the compatibility report of donor and patient.
What if treatment runs longer than the visa?
If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
