This policy explains how Jivo Healthcare Private Limited, New Delhi, India (“Jivo”, “we”) handles personal data when you use jivo.co or contact us as a patient, a doctor or a visitor.

What we collect

  • Information you send us on WhatsApp, by email or through our sign-up forms: your name and contact details, your country and city, and what you tell us about your enquiry.
  • Health information from patients, such as medical reports, diagnoses and history, which you or your doctor share with us so that a specialist can review your case.
  • Professional information from doctors who join the Jivo Doctor Network or attend a masterclass, such as specialty, qualifications, place of practice and attendance.
  • Website usage data collected through Google Analytics, such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser, and clicks on contact buttons. This uses cookies.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and coordinate specialist opinions, cost estimates and treatment.
  • To run the Jivo Doctor Network and masterclasses, including registration, certificates and session records.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal data.

Who we share it with

  • Hospitals and specialists in our partner network, and your referring doctor, when this is needed to review your case or arrange your care. We share patient health information only for that purpose.
  • Service providers that run our tools, including website hosting, analytics (Google) and messaging (WhatsApp), under their own terms and safeguards.
  • Authorities where the law requires it.

Because we connect patients and doctors in different countries, your data may be processed in India and in other countries where our partners and service providers operate.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including the continuity of a patient’s care and our legal obligations, and then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent you have given, or raise a grievance about how we handle it, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Email [email protected]. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Masterclass recordings

Masterclasses are recorded and may be published. Questions asked during a session may appear on its Live Discussion page with the asking doctor’s name and country. To have your name removed, email [email protected].
