What does the visa cost?

The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown and paid online during an e-Medical application, or paid at the High Commission for a regular visa.

How does the e-Medical visa work?

1. The patient submits the form on the visa portal and attaches the passport bio page and the hospital's letter.
2. The decision takes about three working days and arrives by email as an Electronic Travel Authorization, which the patient shows at immigration in India.

Which documents does the Libreville mission ask for?

The High Commission accepts regular visa applications only from people who live in its jurisdiction. It asks for:

• Medical documents showing the need for treatment in India, with the reports translated into English or a reference from the hospital or doctor.
• Proof of sufficient funds for the stay and treatment in India, such as a bank statement, a salary certificate or a sponsorship letter.
• The letter of admission from the recognised hospital or doctor in India.
• A reservation for accommodation or a flight.

Which visa suits which patient?

The e-Medical visa gives 60 days in India, counted from arrival, and is applied for entirely online. At the High Commission, Gabonese nationals receive a regular medical visa valid for six months or one year from the date of issue. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
