Indian Medical Visa for Guinea Citizens

A Guinean patient applies for the Indian medical visa either online, as the e-Medical visa, or as a regular visa at the Embassy of India in Conakry. Both need the hospital's invitation letters, which Jivo obtains.

What does the visa cost?

The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown and paid online during an e-Medical application, or paid at the Embassy for a regular visa.

How does the e-Medical visa work?

  1. Guinean applicants file the e-Medical application on indianvisaonline.gov.in and attach the hospital's letter with the passport bio page.
  2. The decision takes about three working days and arrives by email as an Electronic Travel Authorization, which the patient shows at immigration in India.

Which documents does the Embassy of India in Conakry ask for?

The Embassy asks for a medical report or recommendation from a local hospital or doctor, a letter from the hospital in India, and a bank statement covering at least six months. It also asks for a work attestation certificate, a certificate of residence and a flight reservation.

How long is the e-Medical visa valid?

The e-Medical visa is valid for 60 days from first arrival in India and needs no visit to the Embassy. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
