Indian Medical Visa for Kyrgyzstan Citizens
A Kyrgyz patient can apply online for the e-Medical visa, or apply for a regular medical visa at the Embassy of India in Bishkek. Both need the hospital's invitation letters, which Jivo obtains.

What does the visa cost?
The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown and paid online during an e-Medical application, or paid at the Embassy for a regular visa.
How does the e-Medical visa work?
- The application is made on indianvisaonline.gov.in, where the passport bio page and the hospital's letter are uploaded.
- The decision takes about three working days and arrives by email as an Electronic Travel Authorization, which the patient shows at immigration in India.
What are the steps for a regular medical visa?
- The patient completes the online form on indianvisaonline.gov.in and prints it.
- The patient takes the printed form and the documents to the Embassy of India in Bishkek.
Which documents does the Embassy of India in Bishkek ask for?
- The online application form, printed and signed, with a recent photograph
- The passport, valid for at least six months, with a copy
- A referral letter and medical reports from the patient's doctor or hospital in Kyrgyzstan
- The Indian hospital's invitation letter
- Proof of funds for the treatment and stay, such as a bank statement or a sponsor's letter
- For an attendant, proof of relationship with the patient
Which visa suits which patient?
The e-Medical visa works for a patient happy to do everything online, with no visit to the Embassy. The e-Medical visa is valid for 60 days from first arrival in India. It also allows more than one entry. The regular medical visa is the choice for a patient who would rather lodge the application and documents in person at the Embassy. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
