Indian Medical Visa for Mongolia Citizens
A Mongolian patient can apply online for the e-Medical visa, or apply for a regular medical visa at the Embassy of India in Ulaanbaatar. Both need the hospital's invitation letters, which Jivo obtains.
Or message us on WhatsApp: +91 98182 98669
What does the visa cost?
The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown and paid online during an e-Medical application, or paid at the Embassy for a regular visa.
How does the e-Medical visa work?
- On indianvisaonline.gov.in the patient completes the e-Medical application, attaching the hospital's letter and the passport bio page.
- The decision takes about three working days and arrives by email as an Electronic Travel Authorization, which the patient shows at immigration in India.
Which documents does the Embassy of India in Ulaanbaatar ask for?
- A recommendation from a local hospital in Mongolia or the Indian hospital's invitation letter
- The passport, valid for at least six months from the intended date of return
Which visa suits which patient?
With the e-Medical visa, the patient does not go to the Embassy at all. The e-Medical visa is valid for 60 days from first arrival in India. The Embassy decides how long a regular visa lasts and how many entries it allows, counting from the day of issue. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
