What does the visa cost?

The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown and paid online during an e-Medical application, or paid at the mission for a regular visa.

How does the e-Medical visa work?

1. The patient applies on indianvisaonline.gov.in.
2. The patient uploads the passport bio page and hospital letter online.
3. The decision takes about three working days and arrives by email as an Electronic Travel Authorization, which the patient shows at immigration in India.

What are the steps for a regular medical visa?

1. The patient completes the online form on indianvisaonline.gov.in and prints it.
2. The patient takes the printed form and the documents to the Indian mission in Morocco.

Which documents does the Indian mission in Morocco ask for?

• The online application form, printed and signed, with a recent photograph
• The passport, valid for at least six months, with a copy
• A referral letter and medical reports from the patient's doctor or hospital in Morocco
• The Indian hospital's invitation letter
• Proof of funds for the treatment and stay, such as a bank statement or a sponsor's letter
• For an attendant, proof of relationship with the patient

Which visa suits which patient?

The e-Medical visa suits a patient who wants to apply entirely online. It is valid for 60 days from first arrival in India, allows more than one entry and needs no visit to the mission. A patient who prefers to apply in person takes the regular medical visa application and the documents to the mission. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
