Indian Medical Visa for Seychellois Citizens
A Seychellois patient can apply online for the e-Medical visa, or apply for a regular medical visa at the High Commission of India in Victoria. Both need the hospital's invitation letters, which Jivo obtains.

What does the visa cost?
The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown online during an e-Medical application, or paid at the High Commission of India in Victoria for a regular visa.
How does the e-Medical visa work?
- The patient uploads the passport bio page and hospital letter online.
- The decision takes about three working days and arrives by email as an Electronic Travel Authorization, which the patient shows at immigration in India.
Which documents does the High Commission of India in Victoria ask for?
- The application form, filled in block capitals and signed
- One recent photograph affixed to the application
- The passport, valid for at least six months
- A letter from the Ministry of Health of Seychelles, or from the hospital in India, giving the name, passport details and date of travel of the patient and the accompanying person
Which visa suits which patient?
The e-Medical visa is valid for 60 days from first arrival in India, allows more than one entry and needs no visit to the High Commission. A regular visa is submitted at the High Commission on working days between half past eight and noon, and is issued immediately when the documents are complete. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
