What does the visa cost?

The Government of India sets the fee. The Embassy counter takes the payment in US dollars cash.

How does the application work?

  1. The patient applies online at indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa and prints the application.
  2. The patient takes the printout to the Visa and Consular Section of the Embassy in person, where biometrics are captured at the counter. The counter is open from 09:30 to 11:30 on working days.

Which documents does the Embassy of India for Sudan ask for?

  • The online application form, printed and signed, with a recent photograph
  • The passport, valid for at least six months, with a copy
  • A referral letter and medical reports from the patient's doctor or hospital in Sudan
  • The Indian hospital's invitation letter
  • Proof of funds for the treatment and stay, such as a bank statement or a sponsor's letter
  • For an attendant, proof of relationship with the patient

What if treatment runs longer than the visa?

If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
