Indian Medical Visa for Togo Citizens
A Togolese patient can file the e-Medical application online, or take a regular medical visa application to the Embassy of India in Lomé. Both need the hospital's invitation letters, which Jivo obtains.

What does the visa cost?
The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown and paid online during an e-Medical application, or paid at the Embassy for a regular visa.
How does the e-Medical visa work?
- The patient fills in the form at indianvisaonline.gov.in and attaches the hospital's letter and the passport bio page.
- The decision takes about three working days and arrives by email as an Electronic Travel Authorization, which the patient shows at immigration in India.
Which documents does the Embassy of India in Lomé ask for?
The Embassy asks for the passport, two photographs, confirmation from the hospital in India, a reference from the local doctor or hospital, proof of finance and a flight reservation.
Which visa suits which patient?
The e-Medical visa is valid for 60 days from first arrival in India. A regular medical visa is valid for the period of treatment, up to a maximum of one year. If treatment runs longer than the e-Medical visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
