Indian Medical Visa for Uzbekistan Citizens

What does the visa cost?

The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown and paid online during an e-Medical application, or paid at the Embassy for a regular visa.

How does the e-Medical visa work?

1. The patient applies on indianvisaonline.gov.in between 120 and 4 days before arrival, uploading the passport bio page and the hospital's letter.
2. The decision takes about three working days and arrives by email as an Electronic Travel Authorization, which the patient shows at immigration in India.

What are the steps for a regular medical visa?

1. The patient completes the online form on indianvisaonline.gov.in and prints it.
2. The patient takes the printed form and the documents to the Embassy of India in Tashkent.

Which documents does the Embassy of India in Tashkent ask for?

• The Indian hospital's invitation letter, with consultation and admission details, the patient's passport number and the illness
• Medical documents from a recognised hospital in Uzbekistan stating the illness
• A letter of recommendation from a local doctor
• Two passport photographs
• The original passport and photocopies, with at least six months of validity and at least two blank pages

Which visa suits which patient?

Patients who prefer an application made entirely online should choose the e-Medical visa, which requires no visit to the Embassy. The e-Medical visa is valid for 60 days from first arrival in India. It allows more than one entry. In-person applicants lodge the regular medical visa application, with the documents, at the Embassy. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
