Indian Medical Visa for Yemen Citizens

Yemeni citizens apply for the regular medical visa on paper through the Embassy of India in Riyadh, because Yemen is absent from the e-Visa list and the e-Medical visa is not offered to them. Jivo obtains the hospital's invitation letters that go with the application.

What does the visa cost?

The Government of India sets the fee. It is paid at the counter of the Embassy of India in Riyadh, since the application has no online payment.

What are the steps for a regular medical visa?

  1. The patient completes the online form at indianvisaonline.gov.in, selecting the mission where the application will be lodged, and prints it.
  2. The patient then attends the Embassy of India in Riyadh in person with the printout, the photographs and the documents.

Which documents does the Embassy of India in Riyadh ask for?

  • The online application form, printed and signed
  • Two recent colour photographs, one affixed to the form and one in an envelope
  • The invitation letter from the Indian hospital
  • The medical documents from the patient's hospital in Yemen, in original, showing the need for treatment abroad
  • A bank statement in the name of the patient or the attendant, showing the minimum balance per person that the Embassy requires, on top of the hospital's treatment estimate
  • A flight reservation
  • A valid visa for the country where the application is made, other than an Umrah visa

What if treatment runs longer than the visa?

A regular visa's validity runs from the day it is issued. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
