How does an attendant apply?
Each attendant applies on the same Afghan portal, indianvisaonline.gov.in/avisa, as the patient. The Medical Attendant Visa allows three entries and lasts two months, ending together with the patient's visa.
What does the attendant pay?
The Government of India sets the fee.
How do the invitation letters work for attendants?
The hospital issues two invitation letters: one on its letterhead and one generated on the FRRO system. Both list each attendant with the patient, by name, passport number and relationship. Jivo needs each attendant's passport details to request them.
