Indian Medical Visa for Armenia Citizens
An Armenian patient can apply online for the e-Medical visa, or apply for a regular medical visa at the Embassy of India in Yerevan. Both need the hospital's invitation letters, which Jivo obtains.

What does the visa cost?
The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown and paid online during an e-Medical application, or paid at the Embassy for a regular visa.
How does the e-Medical visa work?
- The patient applies on indianvisaonline.gov.in with two uploads: the passport bio page and the hospital's letter.
- The decision takes about three working days and arrives by email as an Electronic Travel Authorization, which the patient shows at immigration in India.
What are the steps for a regular medical visa?
- The patient completes the online form on indianvisaonline.gov.in and prints it.
- The patient takes the printed form and the documents to the Embassy of India in Yerevan.
Which documents does the Embassy of India in Yerevan ask for?
- The online application form, printed, with a photograph
- A confirmed return flight reservation
- The Indian hospital's letters, signed and stamped, with a copy of the hospital's recognition certificate
Which visa suits which patient?
Choose the e-Medical visa to apply entirely online. The e-Medical visa is valid for 60 days from first arrival in India. It allows more than one entry, and no trip to the Embassy is needed. Applying in person means submitting the regular medical visa application and its documents at the Embassy. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
