How does an attendant apply online?
Each attendant makes a separate application on indianvisaonline.gov.in with the passport bio page and a valid email address. Any request to upload again, and the final decision, reach that address in about three working days. The attendant carries the Electronic Travel Authorization to immigration in India.
What does the attendant pay?
The Government of India sets the fee. It is shown and paid online during an e-Medical Attendant application, or paid at the Embassy for a regular visa.
What does a regular attendant visa require?
A regular Medical Attendant visa runs for the same period as the patient's medical visa. It is granted to a spouse, a child or a blood relative of the patient.
How do the invitation letters work for attendants?
The hospital issues two invitation letters: one on its letterhead, addressed to the Embassy of India in Kuwait, and one generated on the FRRO system. Both list each attendant with the patient, by name, passport number and relationship. Jivo needs each attendant's passport details to request them.
