What does the visa cost?

The Government of India sets the fee. It is paid at the Embassy of India in Riyadh with the application.

What are the steps for a regular medical visa?

1. The patient completes the application form online at indianvisaonline.gov.in, then prints it.
2. The patient submits the printed form, the fee and the documents at the visa application centre of the Embassy of India in Riyadh, or at the Consulate General of India in Jeddah.

Which documents does the Embassy of India in Riyadh ask for?

• The online application form, completed and printed, with two recent passport photographs
• The original passport, valid for at least six months when submitted, with a copy
• Medical reports or hospital references
• A copy of the Iqama or Bataka
• A sponsor's letter, for patients who are not Saudi nationals, with the medical treatment papers
• The letter of admission from the hospital in India
• The names and complete addresses of any relatives to be visited in India

How long is a regular medical visa valid?

The visa is valid for up to six months from the date of issue, for a single or multiple entries. A validity of more than six months and up to one year from the date of issue is granted with multiple entries. If treatment runs longer than the visa, the hospital and Jivo help the patient extend it on the e-FRRO portal.
