Can Rwandan attendants use the e-visa?

Yes. Rwanda is on the e-Visa list, so attendants are eligible for the e-Medical Attendant visa. Each attendant applies separately and uploads the passport bio page. The e-Medical Attendant visa has the same validity as the patient's: two months (60 days) from the day of landing.

What does the attendant pay?

The visa fee is set by the Government of India and paid online with the application (or at the Indian mission for a paper visa); Jivo confirms the current fee with you before you apply.

How does the Visa Invitation Letter work for attendants?

For a regular visa, the High Commission in Kigali asks for the hospital's invitation letter to name the patient and the attendants.

Jivo obtains the Visa Invitation Letter from the chosen hospital; every Jivo partner hospital is FRRO-registered.

What if the portal asks for a document again?

The portal emails any request to upload a document again, normally within 24 hours of submission, and then emails the decision.

When do attendants apply?

An attendant files within the same window as the patient, at least 4 days before landing in India and up to 120 days ahead, and presents the Electronic Travel Authorization at the immigration checkpoint in India.

An attendant books their own flight with the airline or a local agent once the visa is granted, and Jivo organises the airport pickup in New Delhi.
