Which treatments do patients from Zambia seek abroad?

Zambia's National Assembly health committee reported a lack of local expertise in renal care and cardiac care, gave kidney transplantation as its example, and named neurosurgical operations among the few specialties for which Zambians go abroad. South Africa, the United Kingdom, India and the United States were its named destinations.

Rotary has sent Zambian children to India for heart treatment. How does a patient from Zambia start?

The patient shares the reports on WhatsApp. Jivo obtains a named specialist's opinion and a hospital estimate, and the visa application follows. Zambia is on the Indian government's e-visa list, so the e-Medical visa is open to Zambian citizens, and up to two attendants can travel on e-Medical Attendant visas.
